    Answer:
    To start or stop journaling you need to have exclusive authority – i.e. no one else can work on the file even to read it.

    When starting a Journal Physical File you can only filter:

    Record images . . . . . . . . . *AFTER *AFTER, *BOTH
    Journal entries to be omitted . *NONE *NONE, *OPNCLO

    The journal will write all the entries to the receivers. Receiver can also be managed by detaching old receiver and attaching a new one. The old receiver can be saved and deleted.

    In the Journal product we have containers that can select and filters entries from the File journal. These containers are files in the product.
    These containers can replace the journal receivers, after writing the selected entries the journal receiver can be detached and deleted.

    Yes, you can include previous recorded data in old Journal Receivers into AP-Journal containers.
    When starting the AP-Journal, the system asks for the starting date and time to record data. Specify date and time, or *PRVEND-from the last time of capture, or *CURRENT-from this moment onwards.

    Alerts can sent using a message or mail to one location.
    To inspect collected data by a single person from a single terminal, keep several sessions open and control activity on several systems.
