Working with the File Editor Blacklist
Safe Update ships with a predefined set of file editors. You can use this blacklist to prevent users from updating files with these programs while allowing programs that are not in the list to update the files.
To work with the blacklist, enter "1" on the command line of the Safe Update Definitions screen (shown in Defining Program and File Lists). The Change File Editors screen appears.
Change File Editors Type choices, press Enter. File-Editors . . . . . *FILEEDIT Description . . . . . File editors Programs that are File-Editors. Library*⁄*ALL Object*⁄*ALL DBU10 *DBU QSQL *STRSQL QSYS *DFU SMZ1 *CHGFC WRKDBF *WRKDBF + F3=Exit F12=Cancel F8=Restore Defaults |
The screen shows the Library and Object name for each blacklisted program. It can also use generic names containing asterisks to indicate groups of programs.
To add, change, or remove programs, type or change their names in the list.
To save the list when you are done, press Enter. The Safe Update Definitions Screen returns.
To exit, press the F3=Exit or F12=Cancel key. The Safe UpdateDefinitions Screen returns without saving changes.
To return the list to its original default values, press the F8=Restore Defaults key.
